Samyang Ramen
This one the least spicy ramen out of the three I have tasted.
Soup Base: It’s spicy but not hot enough to call for milk or water. It’s beef-flavored one of the original Korean ramens which I give 90 out 100 points.
Noodle: It has a standard thickness and quick to cook in 3-minutes even though it says 4-5 minutes on the packaging. 80 points.
Tip. Boil for only 3 minutes, You will enjoy the texture & taste of the Samyang Ramen.
Soup & Noodle Combination: The combination is excellent but the noodle seems too bloated a bit too quickly. 88 points
Shin Ramen
The best-selling-ramen in Korea, and the best ramen overall.
Soup Base: It’s spicy but with a taste that makes you craving for more. The beef-flavored soup base has a deep hearty taste which I give 98 out 100 points.
Noodle: It has a round standard thickness and cooks in 4-5-minutes. The noodle is one of the best parts which has the best-tasting noodle. But there’s a catch! The US-produced Shin ramen does not have the same consistency as the ramen noodle in Korea. 98 points for ShinRamen produced in Korea.
Soup & Noodle Combination: The combination is excellent. The overall score is for Shin ramen in Korea, not the US produced, less spicy one -98 points.
Jin Ramen
The spiciest ramen of all three. To me, this one is on a bit sweeter side.
Soup Base: It’s really spicy and a bit sweet tasting. 88/100 points
Noodle: The initial taste is not bad. But the taste wears out too quickly. You need to eat it real fast before it gets too bloated. 88/100 points
Soup & Noodle Combination: The combination is not bad. Just a bit above average. 89 points.
