INGRDIENTS FOR MARINATING SAUCE
 1 ½ lbs Sliced Beef (Rib Eye, Sirloin or Brisket) or Pork (Pork Butt, Shoulder, Tender Loin)
 ¼ cup Soy Sauce
 ¼ cup Rice Wine or Mirin
 3 tbsp Doenjang (된장) or Miso
 ½ Onion Grated or Finely Minced
 810 Cloves of Garlic - Grated or Minced
 3 tbsp Sugar
 2 tbsp Sesame Oil (use olive oil or vegetable oil if not)
 1 tbsp Cayenne Powder
 1 tbsp Grated Ginger
INGREDIENTS FOR SAUTEING
 1 Large Onion Sliced
 1 cup Sliced Mushrooms
INGREDIENTS FOR GARNISH
 2 Diagonally Cut Scallions
 3 Sliced Green Long Hot Chili Peppers or Jalapeño
 1 tbsp Sesame Seed
DIRECTIONS

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for marinating sauce, and mix well.

Add the choice of your sliced meat, and mix thoroughly.

Place your marinated meat in a gallon size ziplock bag or any big container. And let it marinate for at least 12 hours although 24 hours is more ideal.

Preheat a cast-iron pan or any large frying pan over medium-high heat.

Saute the onions and mushrooms separately, and set them aside.

Work in small batches, add the marinated meat and some sauteed onions on the pan in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes. And flip once, cook another 2-3 minutes.
Do not put the whole thing in a grilling pan. It may produce a lot of unwanted liquid.

Serve bulgogi over white rice with sauteed mushrooms, and garnish it with scallions, green long hot chili peppers, and sesame seeds.
